(CMR) The Pines Retirement Home has tested all of its residents and some staff members on Friday, November 19 for the coronavirus. Ten residents and one staff member has tested positive for the COVID-19. Six of the 10 residents are unvaccinated.
The George Town retirement home management is working diligently with the Health Services Authority, Dr. Lee, Dr. Williams and the home's board of directors to mitigate the effects of this outbreak on the residents and to ensure a favorable outcome for all concerned.
All family members of residents infected have been notified. Further testing of all staff and residents is scheduled for early Saturday morning at The Pines Retirement Home. Given these circumstances, no visitors will be allowed at the facility until further notice.
