(CMR) On Wednesday 24 April 2019 Anti-Corruption Commission Investigators, supported by Officers from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service, arrested an individual in connection with an ongoing Investigation and previous arrests made on 12 October 2017, 9 May 2018, and 25 June 2018.
Responsible for Investigating serious allegations of Corruption the Investigators Arrested a 55 year old male, from the Newlands area, on Suspicion of Committing the following offences:
1. Bribery of a Public Officer, contrary to s.10 of the Anti-Corruption Law;
2. Fraud on the Government, contrary to s.11 of the Anti-Corruption Law; and
3. Breach of Trust, contrary to s.13 of the Anti-Corruption Law.
The male is not a Public Officer and was released on bail pending further enquiries.
