(CMR) A strong 5.2 earthquake was felt 284 km or 176 miles south of George Town, Grand Cayman this morning around 6:51 a.m. The epicenter of the quake was said to be 16.74°N / 81.14°W. The quake had a depth of 10 km.
According to online sources, the closest area to feeling the impact of the quake would have been Bodden Town. However, most people reported not feeling the quake in Cayman at all.
CMR has spoken HMCI and they have confirmed there is no cause for concern and there have been no reports of any damage.
