(CMR) The Cuban migrants brought back to the Cayman Islands earlier today are still refusing to leave the vessel that brought them back.
More police officers have arrived in the area, and a boat had again gone out to the vessel.
The migrants continue to insist that they do not wish to return to the country despite negotiations taking place with Government officials.
Sources have shared that the migrants are using the only child among the 13 as a negotiating tool.
The migrants have reportedly stated that if anything happens to the child or anyone else, the Cayman Islands Government will be blamed.
The migrants are said to be locked in an area of the vessel, but it is not clear if they are the ones who have locked the door.
There are reportedly complaints that they have no AC and are unable to use the bathroom since they are confined to an area,
CMR has also learned that the migrants said while they appreciate being rescued at sea, they did not want to return to the Cayman Islands, and as a result, they continue to refuse to leave the ship.
They have also allegedly claimed that a jewelry store's robbery over the weekend was being pinned on them.
