(CMR) A 48-year-old Frank Sound man involved in a serious vehicular collision in Pease Bay around 11:30 am this morning involving a dump truck is appealing to eyewitnesses who may have witnessed the accident. He sustained several fractured ribs and remains hospitalized at this time after being trapped in the vehicle. Fire rescue had to extract his door to remove him from the vehicle so he could be transported to the hospital by ambulance. His passenger was uninjured.
The couple was returning home from the Fosters in Countryside when the accident happened.
The two occupants of the Toyota Celica claim that the dump truck clipped their vehicle after swerving into their lane causing them to go into a tailspin that landed them in the opposite direction facing George Town. They shared that this serious accident has totaled their car and they need anyone who would have seen the accident to come forward.
In particular, the driver and his girlfriend said are appealing to a female driver of a white SUV to contact them. They shared that she had been driving in the same direction as them towards town. After the accident, she stopped to check on their condition and shared that she had seen the dump truck swerve into their lane; causing the accident.
However, they did not obtain her contact details before she turned around and headed back east.
They are asking for that female driver to please reach out to them via CMR or the police as she can provide critical information to the authorities. They shared:
“We are grateful that the accident was not any worse. H however, we also want the truth and justice to be served. We need anyone who witnessed the accident to please come forward.”
