(CMR) A Taiwanese wife forced her husband to sell his brand new PlayStation 5 (PS5) after he deceived her into thinking it was an air purifier.
The man advertised the coveted gaming console for sale on Facebook and within minutes Jin Wu (吳建均) was making arrangements to pick the device up.
According to Wu, when he phoned the seller, a woman spoke with him and arrangements were made for him to pick up the console.
Wu said he was alarmed to see the relatively low price at which the console was being advertised, adding that the seller seemed eager to get rid of the PS5.
After arriving at the seller's home, Wu said he learned that the woman's husband was the true owner of the PS5 and after a brief chat with the man, learned that he had initially told his wife that the video game console was an air purifier.
“It turns out that women can tell the difference between a PS5 and an air filter,” the man is reported to have told Wu.
Wu said the man's wife forced him to sell the console due to his unhealthy addiction to video games.
