(CMR) One week after Cayman Marl Road reported that jet ski riders were becoming a growing concern for diver operators two jet skis collided earlier today.
The incident occurred on the waterfront near Balboa Beach around mid-day today; resulting in one persons being transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Ironically this come just eight days after CMR published a story highlighting the concerns of others on the water. Dive and boat operators have expressed some serious concerns about the safety of other water users who must tolerate rouge jet ski riders who appear to operate without impunity.
Early in July CMR also reported on a jet ski incident at the sandbar that was another near miss as well.
Despite repeated calls for something to be done the Ministry and Department of Tourism have issued no official statement on the matter as yet.
