(CMR) Cayman's charity Jasmine joined 150 countries around the world in celebrating Voices for Hospices 2021 with music and dance over the weekend. Jasmine's Spotlight on Broadway at Harquail was supported by many well-known local artists.
Governor Martyn Roper congratulated the organizers of the event for the successful staging.
“The show was truly outstanding. Congratulations to Director of Jasmine Felicia McLean, event organizer Kerrie McMillan, artistic director Jackie Balls, and all the wonderful singers and dancers. We have many amazing talents on these Islands,” Governor Roper said.
Over 150 countries organized similar concerts this year with a theme of “Leave no-one behind – equity in access to palliative care.”Jasmine aims to provide residents of the Cayman Islands with palliative care at no charge.
“It takes huge effort to put on a performance like this, and I want to pay tribute once again to all involved. A great evening,” Governor Roper added.
