(CMR) The Jamaica Constabulary Force arrested a man who was heard in a recorded phone call, threatening to kill a woman called Denise.
The man who was picked up by the police in St Catherine on Saturday told the woman that he will kill her when a three-week curfew in Jamaica ends.
The man, referred to as Peter, told the woman that “if it was the last thing he did, he had to kill her.”
He said wherever she goes, he will find her and ensures he hurt her.
The man who claims the woman has hurt him said he would ensure she hurt no one else.
There have been recent concerns about the high number of attacks on females in Jamaica.
A 50-year-old mechanic Robert Fowler confessed to killing Khanice Jackson (20), who was reported missing on Wednesday, March 24.
Her body was found two days later in Portmore, St Catherine.
On Good Friday, the St Thomas police investigated a murder/suicide after Lorraine Hutchinson was hacked to death. The suspect who fled the scene was later found hanging from a tree.
Efforts are now being made to locate Natalie Dawkins, a teacher from Clarendon, who went missing on Tuesday, March 30. Police have since found the woman's car in St Catherine; however, there is still no sign of Dawkins. A $1 million reward is being offered for the safe return of the teacher.
