(CMR) Jamaican authorities on Tuesday (April 28) seized a quantity of cocaine at the Norman Manley International Airport hidden among Easter treats destined for a flight to the United States.
Reports are that about 2:43 p.m., officers were conducting routine checks when they found six boxes of Easter buns wrapped in transparent bags and three plastic containers of cheese.
Furthers inspections by police attached to the Narcotics Police Division revealed that the Easter food items contained cocaine.
A team of officers from the narcotics division are investigating the matter, no one has been arrested in relation to the seizure.
