(CMR) Jamaica has again recorded a double-digit spike in COVID-19 cases.
The island recorded 19 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday (July 20) up from 16 new cases the previous day.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOWH) reports that 13 of the 19 new cases were imported from the United States, attributing five to contacts of confirmed cases, one case is under investigation.
While the double-digit increase appears to be a cause for concern, Jamaica continues to maintain a high recovery rate, which stands at about 87.7%.
The island currently has 63 active cases under observation at this time, none of which are described as ” critical cases”.
