(CMR) A canoe boat arrived in Cayman Brac earlier this afternoon shortly after midday with three Honduran men on board it has reported. The mean indicated to Cayman Border Control (CBC) that they were lost at sea.
CBC searched the boat and found small fragments of ganja aboard which they indicated was for personal use. CBC is providing assistance for them to make contact with relatives in Honduras. They are hopeful that they can obtain funds to purchase fuel, a GPS system and food for them to continue their journey.
No drug compartment was found on the boat and they will be permitted to leave once they are refueled and provisioned for their journey.
Honduras has been struggling with the aftermath of Hurricane Eta which saw a large part of the mainland flooded and at least 50 persons killed from mudslides and storm urge.

In other sister island news, some cocaine was found washed ashore off Little Cayman on Sunday.
