(CMR) Employees and attendees at court today got quite the shock this morning when Aaron Ronaldo Montemayor decided to make a run for it and bolted out of the courthouse at super speed while still in handcuffs. He was scheduled to appear before Magistrate Foldats to answer charges of failure to comply with Regulations of the Control of Covid-19, assaulting police and two charges of obstructing police.
Montemayor headed down Dr. Roy's Drive towards Eastern Avenue whilst still handcuffed in a “Bolt-like manner” one eyewitness shared. Apparently, he gave the much slower court bails and security a good workout for the morning. However, his speed was not enough and he was captured a short time afterward and returned to court.
The 19-year-old Montemayor made headlines late last year when he breached quarantine twice before finally being charged in March. He is also in court for traffic-related offenses.
The story will be updated once more details are available.
