(CMR) Two would-be killers were reportedly killed during a confrontation with the police in St Catherine, Jamaica, on Wednesday.
According to the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the men were among three men allegedly on their way to commit a murder when quick actions by the police derailed their plans.
The police reported that acting on information received, they intercepted a silver Nissan motorcar at about 1:30 pm along Caymanas Drive with three men on board.
The men fired shots at the police, who returned fire.
Two men then alighted the car and ran, while the police found an injured man slumped in the vehicle.
One of the gunmen was later found shot in a yard. The third man reportedly escaped.
The two men were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced.
