(CMR) Several Cayman female government employees with the ministry of Home Affairs have just completed their master degrees at Walden University.
Kandie Hurlston and Celicia Alley both graduated with honors.
Alley has obtained her Master of Science in Management with a GPA of 3.9. In recognition of her academic excellence she was invited to join the Golden Key International Honor Society. Golden Key membership is by invitation only to the top 15% of Walden students across all programs and degree levels. She has worked as an accountant for the Ministry of Home Affairs for over five years.
Hurlston obtained her Master of Science in Human Resource Management with a GPA of 4.0. The Delta Mu Delta – International Academic Honor Society in Business welcomed her as a new member in recognition of high scholastic attainment. Delta Mu Delta is an internationally recognized honour society for students and graduates of business or commerce programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs. She has worked with the department for over four years.
Hurlston noted that:
A lot of hard work and dedication saw us through the challenges of university life while we juggled full-time employment and family responsibilities. We are grateful to those who supported and encouraged us along the journey – our family, friends, mentors, and colleagues. A special thank you to our Chief Officer Mr. Wesley Howell for his support.
Howell posted online congratulating both women:
“You have made us proud with your determination and dedication to your professional development. With this same spirit and drive, you will always make us proud. Well done and Congratulations on your achievements. Every blessing to you both!”
