(CMR) Police have confirmed that a George Town man was shot Saturday morning at the Strand on Canal Point Road. The 31-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and leg.
The police reported that around 3:30 am, Saturday 12 March, emergency services responded to a 911 report of a firearms incident at the Strand. It was reported that several shots were heard in the area before a vehicle left the scene with a man who had received gunshot wounds.
The man was taken by private vehicle to the George Town Hospital, where he received medical treatment. His injuries are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening.
Police detectives are investigating this incident, and anyone with information, specifically, anyone who may have witnessed the incident taking place, is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
