(CMR) The police have made multiple arrests in relation to the murders of Harry Elliot and Caine Thomas, which occurred Monday night and Thursday morning, respectively.
Police said two men were arrested in relation to the murder of Caine Thomas following a high-speed pursuit and interception by the Firearms Response Unit in North Side Thursday afternoon, 28 April.
The police said the men were also arrested as part of the RCIPS’ ongoing investigations into recent violent crimes, including armed robberies.
A dark-colored Audi motorcar, which is a vehicle of interest in the investigations, was also recovered during the operation.
The men, age 30 of George Town and 31 of Bodden Town, remain in custody as investigations continue.
A man (25) of George Town was arrested Wednesday evening, 27 April, in relation to the murder of Harry Elliot, which took place on Monday 25 April, at a commercial premises on School Road in George Town. The man had previously been wanted by police concerning several other matters, including domestic and traffic matters.
A woman (33) of George Town was also arrested with the man on suspicion of aiding and abetting an offender.
Both persons remain in custody as investigations continue.
The RCIPS expressed condolences to the families of the deceased men.
