(CMR) Woody Foster, managing director of Foster's Supermarket, clarifies a recent quote that gave some persons the impression that there is a food shortage out of the United States.
In an exclusive interview with Cayman Marl Road, he explains that the statement was actually taken out of context. Another local publication wrote a story that used a headline “there has been a reduction in access to US food supplies.” However, Foster clarified that title isn't an accurate representation of what's going on at all and wasn't what his statement was intended to convey.
His comment was to give the community confidence that the island's largest grocery chain has everything under control and are working hard to continue to offer most products uninterrupted. Where one normal source may be having difficulties supplying a certain product Foster's has utilized their sourcing options to ensure supplies continue to reach Cayman.
