(CMR) Former Jamaican cabinet minister Dr D.K. Duncan died on Thursday (September 17).
80-year-old Duncan passed away while at hospital.
He was hospitalised in late August after he tested positive for COVID-19.
DK Duncan entered political life in 1996 , he severed different roles inside the People's National Party (PNP) and represented the constituency of Hanover Eastern for two terms.
Duncan at the time of his death was married to Beverly Anderson, the former wife of Michael Manley.
The veteran politician has two daughters who are in active representational politics, Patricia Duncan Sutherland and Imani Duncan-Price.
To date, Jamaica has over 4,000 cases of COVID-19.
