(CMR) The police are investigating a major assault incident at Everglo Bar (formerly Dump Road Bar) last night at the liquor establishment on Seymour Drive that has left five persons injured and police appealing for eyewitnesses.
Reports are that a brawl broke out between several Honduran men leaving two men with stab wounds. The other three men received “slight injuries” with one having lost a tooth.
One man was said to be stabbed in the chest and the other in the face. The Roatan, Honduras man who was stabbed in the chest is said to have been trying to part the fight when he sustained his injuries. He has close Cayman ties and remains hospitalized but is in stable condition with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The man who was stabbed in the face was treated at the hospital and has since been released.
No one has been arrested at this time and the matter is under police investigation. However, anyone with information that might assist the police in their investigations or who may have footage of the incident is encouraged to contact the RCIPS.
