(CMR) Parents at Clifton Hunter High School are seeking answers this evening after several children went home with scrapes and bruises and no contact from school administrators.
One parent reached out to Cayman Marl Road and was distraught over the fact that her daughter was injured and bleeding. Furthermore, she had not received a call from the school principal or any teachers to advise her of what had transpired.
The injured children were bystanders close to an altercation with two year 11 boys at lunchtime. They were inadvertently pushed to the ground and in some nearby bushes by the two older boys who were fighting.
One injured student is in year 8 and received no medical assistance at the school. When she arrived home her parents were flabbergasted to learn that the parents had not been contacted and children were visibly injured. There was also no security present at the time of the incident.
As of late this evening the parents were unsuccessful in reaching school administrators and had not received been contacted by anyone. One parent shared:
“I am so livid right now! The voice mailbox for the school is full so I cannot even leave a message. My child has health issues and this could make her condition worse – meanwhile there was no nurse on the compound and no one there to administer first aid assistance and to immediately contact parents. This is truly unacceptable.”
