Food & Nutrition Security Meetings
Members of the public are invited to review the draft Cayman Islands Food and Nutrition Security Policy and provide comments.
We encourage members of the public to participate in the upcoming consultation meetings to discuss the Cayman Islands Food and Nutrition Security Policy.
The Government, through the Ministry of Planning, Agriculture, Housing and Infrastructure, commissioned the formulation of a Cayman Islands Food and Nutrition Security Policy (CIFNSP).
The preparation involves the identification and analysis of the contributing factors undermining food and nutrition security in the Islands and the crafting of measures to comprehensively address the underlying issues.
- The health and wellbeing of its people.
- The expanding and devastating public health dilemma and related disease burden.
- The rising food import bill.
- Access to safe quality food sources.
Engage on Facebook/Twitter: Invite others to join the public discussion, using hashtag #CIFNSP (Please note comments made on Facebook and Twitter will not be considered in the preparation of the final policy).
