(CMR) The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS) said one of the drivers involved in an accident Saturday afternoon is believed to have life-threatening injuries.
The RCIPS said just before 4:15 pm, the police, and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a two-vehicle collision involving a dump truck and a pickup truck in Prospect.
The driver of the pickup was trapped in the vehicle, and officers from the CIFS attended the scene and extricated the man, who was immediately transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital by EMS.
The driver of the dump truck was also taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital by a private vehicle.
The Traffic and Roads Policing Unit is investigating the incident, and investigators are asking anyone with information regarding this collision to call the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit at 649-6254 or the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
