(CMR) The Department of Environment has reported that conservation officers intercepted a poaching event in the Frank Sound Marine Reserve where 195 conchs and four lobster were seized.
According to a social media post by the DoE, two suspects have been warned for intended prosecution, and the marine life was donated to the Pines.
This area has been protected for 30 years. In addition, the conch and lobster seasons are currently CLOSED.
The DoE encourages the public to know the Marine Parks Rules before venturing into the waters.
Persons may call 911 if they see any suspicious activities. DoE assures that its officers will respond.
