(CMR) The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) confirms that 11 migrants have arrived in Grand Cayman today, 28 April. The vessel arrived with 7 males and 4 females.
The migrants are severely dehydrated and 2 require medical assistance which is being rendered by Health Services Authority on the scene. Further information will be provided at a later date.
This year is on target to supersede the Cuban migrant numbers in previous years and the Cayman Islands government has placed a migration mitigation program in place.
