(CMR) Dawn Bodden of George Town is the winner of the DMS $100,000 Vaccine Drive. The DMS Vaccine Drive was first announced on August 6, 2021, offering a grand prize drawing of $100,000 to a single recipient.
Anyone who is a Caymanian, permanent resident, or legal resident with a valid work permit and had gotten fully vaccinated through the Health Services Authority (HSA) was eligible and automatically entered into the drawing. Persons that referred a loved one and submitted a completed referral card into a drop box at the HSA Vaccine Clinics received an additional entry.
The drawing ended on October 14, 2021, with a total of 53,595 eligible entries; 53,365 people had received the full course two-dose vaccination, and 230 people received additional entries per the referral program. The Health Services Authority provided the verification of the full vaccination and finalist consent to participate in the drawing. DMS conducted the verification of the proof of residency and proof of address. A winner was then randomly drawn.
The winner, Dawn Bodden, is a native Caymanian and lives in George Town with her husband and two sons. When asked about her contribution to the government’s vaccination goals, Bodden replied, “Don’t wait for the opportunity to receive the gift. You should BE the gift – get vaccinated for your family and for your country.”
DMS is a family office firm located in The White House, George Town, Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands. When the government requested support from the private sector, DMS answered the call with this successful vaccine drive.
Hon. Premier of the Cayman Islands, Wayne Panton, expressed thanks to DMS for the private sector support of the government’s vaccination goals.
