(CMR) Members of the dancehall and hip- hop community have commended both Lisa Hyper and Spice for ending their rift.
Dancehall artiste Spice on Thursday (July 1) accepted Lisa Hyper's apology effectively ending the duo's longstanding beef which dates back to 2009.
Spice not only accepted Hyper's apology but issued one of her own.
“Apology accepted. And I’d like to apologize to you too because, at the end of the day, the disrespect wasn’t one-sided,” Spice said on Instagram.
Spice revealed that she had also unblocked the artiste; Hyper who fessed up to her wrongdoing earlier in the week was unable to tag Spice in the apology as she had been blocked.
” I can tag you now because I just unblocked you after 10 years WOW (den a so mi keep malice long). Big up yuh self , a public apology takes humility so I respect your bold move, ” added Spice.
Spice in reflection noted that had she and Hyper continued their friendship they would have been a powerful force in the male-dominated music industry.
Spice lauded Hyper as an “extremely talented” artiste and wished her success with her career.
” I have no contempt towards you in fact I believe you are extremely talented and I wish you great success in this male-dominated business, ” said Spice.
“We both share something in common #GAZAFORLIFE, ” added Spice.
Members of the dancehall and hip hop community who saw the post have commended both artistes on patching things up.
” That me love,” said Popcaan who commented on the post.
” Love this, ” added R&B singer and fellow Love and Hip Hop cast member, Kandi Burruss.
Even Politician and close friend to Spice, Lisa Hanna, commented on the post, showing her approval.
Hyper is to drop her Phoneix album later this month.
