(CMR) Police are now investigating the robbery of a food truck on Crewe Road after a masked man robbed the business at gunpoint.
Reports are that at about 8:30 PM last night, 21 March, officers responded to a report of a robbery at a food truck on Crewe Road. It was reported that a masked man wearing dark clothes and riding a bicycle approached the business, brandished a firearm, and demanded cash from the staff.
He then fled the location on the bicycle with a quantity of cash, traveling in the direction of the King’s Roundabout. No shots were fired and no one was injured during the incident.
The suspect is described as being about 5’9” and was dressed in a grey jacket and dark pants, wearing a black mask.
The matter is currently under investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seen someone fitting the description in the area, or may have any other info is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
