“This issue really stresses the importance of assisting Public Health with any enquiries and complying with their requests if you are asked to isolate with your entire household,”
Dr. John Lee
(CMR) A healthcare worker at Doctor's Hospital who swabs the public for COVID-19 is alleged to have been dishonest about her connection to the outbreak in North Side. Exclusive CMR sources have shared that she has now tested positive as well.
Additionally, she rides the public bus to work back and forth from the outer district.
The government confirmed that there are three positive community cases. The Doctor's Hospital worker was not vaccinated and began working at the facility about a month ago to specifically assist the hospital with COVID-19 testing.
She did not have any symptoms and was screened as part of a regular process. The Doctors Hospital screenings are run separately to the inpatient and outpatient services.
Doctors Hospital is working closely with Public Health to assist with contact tracing. They believe that the risk to the public through the person's work is low because of the use of personal protective equipment.
Doctor's Hospital has been a key facility for COVID-19 testing and has a government contract to assist them with daily testing. They launched their testing facility in early 2020 and provide a drive-through COVID testing facility.
There is no indication of her actual position at the facility but a source shared that testers have medical training and she could be a nurse.
