(CMR) Deaths from COVID-19 continue on an upward trajectory for both Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica.
The latest information out of Trinidad and Tobago shows that the death toll has increased by one; while in Jamaica three new COVID-19 deaths have been reported.
The death toll in Trinidad and Tobago now stands at 96, with the country having over a total of 5,297 positive cases recorded to date.
While in Jamaica the death toll stands at 171, with the country having in excess of 8,000 COVID-19 cases.
Despite both countries having well over 1,000 active cases, measures put in place to contain the virus have been limited to mask-wearing and hand washing; while strict lockdowns have been touted as impractical for economies of scale.
