(CMR) The COVID-19 death toll in Jamaica has risen to 44 after the island on Monday (September 14) recorded two new virus related deaths.
Jamaica has also recorded 162 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the tally to 3,933. The active cases are now 2,648 .
Of the active cases, 100 persons are now hospitalised with 28 being moderately ill and seven critically ill.
The two deaths were recorded on Sunday. The deceased have been identified as a 76-year-old male from Kingston and St Andrew, and a 73-year-old male from St Catherine. Both men had comorbidities.
