(CMR) Jamaica confirmed two new coronavirus infections on Saturday, bringing the country’s official number of cases up to 55The revelation was made in a Ministry of Health and Wellness press release.
The new additions are:
A 74-year-old female from Manchester. She was in contact with a confirmed case.
A 63-year-old female from Portland, who is under investigation.
According to the ministry, five confirmed cases are under investigation as health authorities facilitate contact tracing. While 28 cases are described as imported.
So far, 30 males and 25 females have tested positive for COVID-19, ranging in age from 12 years to 87 years. The median age is 55 years. There are 39 persons in state quarantine and 55 in isolation.
