(CMR) Cayman Brac photographer, craftsman, and artist, Benton Conolly will be hosting a Christmas Craft Pop up Shop today at Dee's Plaza on Crewe Road featuring some of his craftwork and paintings. He will be at the location today and tomorrow until 5:00 pm.
Conolly is best known for his unique pieces that capture the essence of all things Cayman and relies heavily on local woods to bring his pieces to life. He admits that he was heavily influenced by his great grandfather, Arthur Dilbert. Dilbert was a premier boat builder and helped build some of the first Schooners at the time.
He has taken a keen interest in photographing wildlife and enjoys sharing the beauty of the islands with others. He shared:
“I live in paradise and like to share that with others through my photography.”
Persons who are unable to make the pop-up shop can request a booking from Conolly for a private viewing of his works and also request custom pieces to be designed. He can be reached at 345-916-4880.
