(CMR) A serious wave runner accident occurred Saturday morning shortly before 10:40 a.m. at the Coe Wood Public Beach in Bodden Town involving four persons including two children.
Early reports are that a jet ski male adult driver lost control of the jet ski which then travelled a distance out the water onto the beach and collided with a wooden beach cabana. Another male who was sitting under the cabana was also injured.
The driver in his 40’s received head and neck injuries and required CPR to be performed. He received a serious abrasion to the top of his head. We understand the children may have received some broken bones but otherwise will be fine.
CMR understands the driver and his two children recently suffered the lost of their mother several months ago. He works in the water sports industry.
Police are carrying out their investigations at the scene.
CMR received graphic footage of the accident which cannot be shared here but we were on the scene shortly after the parties where taken to the hospital for treatment:
