(CMR) CNN news anchor Christopher Cuomo, more popularly called, Chris Cuomo, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, COVID-19. Cuomo confirmed the news in a tweet on Tuesday.
“In these difficult times that seem to get more difficult and complicated by the day, I just found out that I am positive for coronavirus,”
Cuomo tweeted on Tuesday.
The news anchor, who is the brother of New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo – a state that has 790 coronavirus deaths – further revealed that he had in recent days been exposed to several people who have tested positive. Cuomo went on to share that he had been experiencing symptoms which include: chills, shortness of breath and fever.
“I just hope I didn't give it to the kids and Cristina. That would make me feel worse than this illness,”
added Cuomo on Twitter.
As a result of Cuomo's positive test, he will host his signature programme, “Cuomo Prime Time” from the comfort of his home.
To date, the US has recorded nearly 163,500 confirmed cases, the highest number in the world, and more than 3,000 deaths. These numbers are expected to rapidly climb.
