(CMR) The island’s largest retail bank, Cayman National Bank, has decided to close one of it’s locations and discontinue weekend retail hours.
CNB has closed its Buckingham Square location on Seven Mile Beach, West Bay Road on September 15 for retail banking. However, it will maintain some back office operations and an ATM there. The bank will be redeploying its employees to the Camana Bay location it has been revealed.
About 10-15 persons worked at that location. Customers who require access to their safety deposit boxes can arrange that by contacting [email protected].
The bank will also be reducing its hours and no longer offer Saturday banking as of month end. For weekend transactions the banks suggests online or remote banking.
The announcement comes on the heel of them deciding to finally re-open the Elgin Avenue main branch location on Monday September, 14.
They have also announced that there are two new ATM locations in Grand Cayman. One is located in North Side at Chisholm’s Grocery Store and at Value-Med Pharmacy in Bodden Town.
