(CMR) A dispute between a store clerk and a Jamaican Defence Force (JDF) soldier resulted in the worker being shot outside of his place of employment on Thursday (December 17) .
Initial reports are that at about 12:30 p.m. the employee and the off-duty soldier were involved in a dispute in the parking lot of the Azan Supercentre in Crossroad; the employee was shot twice.
It is understood that the employee was assisting the soldier, who was a customer at the store, at the time of the incident.
The employee was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital, where he is said to have undergone emergency surgery.
The soldier later turned himself into the police .
