(CMR) Neville Lloyd Passard was found guilty today of 11 counts of defilement of six children in George Town after a two-week trial. Passard was arrested back in 2019 when it came to light that he was molesting the children known to him. CMR reported back in 2019 that he was arrested on Cayman Airways as he was attempting to abscond and leave the jurisdiction.
During the trial, he claims he was leaving for some other reason and it was not related to the allegations against him.
The 7 member jury took about 3.5 hours to find the 56-year-old guilty on all counts before Justice Richards. The victims testified via video interviews detailing the disturbing allegations against Passard. His defense was that the girl's mothers had set him up and planted marijuana in his vehicle and that he never committed the offenses.
Since the allegations came to light Passard was subjected to a no-contact order and stayed in East End with his Caymanian wife, Aldene Passard. He was represented by Samson Law.
