(CMR) Cayman's first ‘Calisthenics' Park has opened at Public Beach in West Bay. The facility was made possible by German entrepreneur Philip Schlossstein, who funded it in collaboration with the Ministry of Lands and Administration.
Governor Martyn Roper said with Calisthenics becoming popular, it will be a superb community facility.
“Regular exercise should be a key part of all our lives to support physical and mental health. This new park is free, and I am sure will be very popular with young and old,” Mr. Roper said in a Facebook post.
He said, “We had an amazing demonstration of Calisthenics from 2 UK champions and one from Mexico who visited Cayman for the opening. School children from many of our schools also got to experience the equipment and clearly enjoyed it.”
