(CMR) Chief Medical Officer Dr. John Lee on Thursday (May 7) reported two additional cases of the coronavirus, bringing the island’s total to 80.
“ I wanted to provide you with the statistics for today, you’re all waiting for that and I am well aware. There are 76 results in total of which two are positive, “ said Lee.
“One of the positive people had a travel history and one is the contact somebody that’s previously been reported,” added Lee.
Lee further shared that of the people infected 33 were asymptomatic, while only nine were symptomatic; he added that 35 people had recovered from COVID19.
Lee also used the opportunity to encourage residents to continue to aide by physically distancing measures aimed at preventing the spread of COVID 19, he specifically encouraged people to stay 6 ft apart and wear masks.
