(CMR) A local resident is asking for the public's assistance after her car was stolen from Margaritaville Resort Parking Lot on Friday night.
The resident arrived home around 8:00 pm and withing half an hour her car was stolen. She is asking the public's assistance in locating the 1998 Honda Civic. The owner notes that the theft has left her stranded without transportation to work and she is devastated:
“I have no way to get to work! It's devastating.”
The security cameras actually caught the theft. It shows someone dropping off the thief and driving away. It took him only a few seconds to start the vehicle and make his getaway. Anyone with details on this incident are asked to contact the police right away.

CMR sources indicate that another vehicle was also stolen Friday night.
Residents in the Newlands area were warning residents that a man was caught on security camera going around to homes checking door locks of vehicles shortly before 5:00 am.
A social media poster also warned people not to leave valuables in their vehicles as her husband had his wallet stolen; stating:
“This same guy did this to us 4 nights ago. Unfortunately my husband left his wallet in the car.”
