The Anti-Corruption unit has made another arrest this morning in relation to the arrest made yesterday of a 46 year old in Prospect.
Cayman Marl Road sources have informed us that the person in this morning's arrest is actually Canover Watson, formerly of Prospect, but currently an inmate at HMP Northward.
This comes days after a judge decided that Watson would be entitled to an increase in his legal aid in order to pay for an experienced QC to represent him on his appeal. He made a submission that he has no money because his assets are frozen as part of forfeiture proceedings following his conviction last year.
The former businessman and former chair of the Health Services Authority, who was convicted on a number of corruption charges relating to the hospital CarePay case and is serving a 7 year sentence.
