(CMR) The police helicopter is in the Bonnie’s Arch, North West Point area of West Bay this morning in what appears to be a drug recovery mission.
Eyewitnesses have just shared footage of the helicopter actively recovering what appears to be packages of drugs in the water. One shared that a large black bale had already been collected by the authorities.
Smaller packages are now being recovered from the ocean by a female officer who is coming in and out of the water. Onlookers are viewing the helicopter maneuver up and down NW Point Road and heading towards the public beach and assisting with the retrieval of the smaller packages.
Several male officers can also be seen walking with packages from the ocean inland. This was captured on exclusive CMR video footage.
This is a developing story and additional information will be provided once available.
