(CMR) Cayman Marl Road sources indicated last night that two women involved in the school bus incident and North Side bar brawl have now been arrested by the RCIPS for assaulting a man.
Arrested are Millie Whittaker (38) and Shania Whittaker (19) both of North Side. We understand that Millie was arrested on Saturday evening Shania last night. Shania also suspected to be involved in the incident, was arrested on suspicion of assault ABH, disorderly conduct at a liquor licensed premises, and damage to property. Both women have been granted bail as investigations continue.
Readers will recall that the bus incident caused outrage among a lot of parents and students and then spilled over into an incident that occurred the following weekend.
We understand that Millie works for the Department of Environment and Shania works for Cayman National Bank.
The details of the original incident are that shortly before 11:00PM on Friday, 14 September, officers responded to a report of an altercation outside a bar on Frank Sound Road in North Side, involving a man and two women who are known to each other.
The man was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, and subsequently released. A car at the location was also damaged during the altercation.
The incident is currently under police investigation.
