(CMR) Donovan Ebanks has been replaced as the chairman of the National Roads Authority (NRA) after six years – his second removal from as chairman of a government board in the past six months.
Sources indicate to CMR that he has been replaced by John Edward Ebanks; one of his directors. John Ebanks is considered the most senior member of Lions Club and is also a former employee of the National Roads Authority. He also served as a director on the NRA board and was appointed at the same time as Donovan Ebanks in 2013.
Donovan Ebanks was the former Head of the Civil Service and was appointed by Cabinet on September 17, 2013. During his tenure, the NRA suspended and eventually fired former Managing Director, Paul Parchment.
Some months ago Ebanks was also removed as Chairman from Civil Service Appeals Commission when his tenure expired earlier this year. He was replaced by an HSM attorney-at-law Hew Mosses in March of this year.
