(CMR) Shortly after 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 31 January, officers were dispatched to Crysdel Road, Bodden Town, where a man was reported to have been attacked by two dogs.
The man, who had been walking home at the time, received bites to both his arms and legs. During the incident, the man struck one of the dogs with a pocket knife. He was taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released. The dog that was struck with the knife died.
It was later ascertained that the dogs had escaped from a nearby yard.
The matter is currently under investigation by the RCIPS and Animal Control Officers from the Department of Agriculture. Anyone with any relevant information is asked to contact the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
