(CMR) A 69-year-old Caymanian visiting the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino was drugged and robbed on Friday, September 13th in Florida.
The evening started with the threesome gambling at the popular Hollywood casino and ended at his Dania Beach hotel room.
According to media reports the man had his $15,000 Rolex watch stolen and at least $1,000 in cash after a night of gambling ended badly. The incident took place around 2:00 am.
Video footage from the casino floor shows the three sitting at a group of slot machines, where one woman wearing a leopard-print jumpsuit is talking to the victim, obstructing his view while the second woman in black appears to shake a bag with a white substance and pour it into a drink before handing it to the man.
He shared with the police that the impact of the substance was immediate and he was unable to walk unassisted. He was taken to his Dania Beach hotel room where the robbery actually took place.
“The victim may or may not have seen what was going on, but he ends up taking the drink,” said Miranda Grossman with the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Sometime later, the three are seen exiting the casino, with one woman under each arm of the victim. The women are described as being between 35 to 45 years old. One lady is African American and one is caucasian blond.
Detectives initially thought a third suspect may have been outside in a black Honda Fit, posing as a ride-share driver. After investigating, BSO has said they no longer consider the driver a suspect.
Detectives are asking for help in identifying the burglars. Anyone with information should contact Dania Beach Detective Taylor Powell at 954-518-0153, or leave an anonymous tip through Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS
