(CMR) In an CMR exclusive we have eyewitness reports coming in that a 16-year-old young man has been stabbed by the Cayman Airways ticket offices after being chased down by two suspects in what appears to be a robbery attempt.
The young man had been attempting to enter the ticket office to purchase a ticket for his boss. Apparently he had the cash in his back pocket and fell at the front steps of the Cayman Airways office. He was stabbed in the lower buttocks by the alleged assailants and a good Samaritan took an onlooker's scarf and tied up his leg to stop the bleeding until the police and ambulance arrived on scene.
She also indicated that she sought help from the nearby fire station which is located almost across the street but they refused to attend the scene indicating to her that 911 had already been called and emergency services dispatched.
She shared with us:
“I cannot believe that fire service would not come and offer emergency and first aid assistance. I intend to go on the radio station in the morning about them and I hope that the CCTV cameras caught everything.”
This is a developing story and we will update once more details are available.
