(CMR) An early morning accident has resulted in the death of a female pedestrian on Esterley Tibbetts Highway close to Yacht Club, West Bay Road.
CMR became alerted to the incident after drivers contacted us about an usual delay in the outbound traffic from the district of West Bay. It soon became apparent that a serious traffic incident was the cause. Within minutes we received photos and video footage confirming the severity of the incident.
In one video, what CMR will not be publicly sharing, the driver can be seen on the ground crying and giving his account of the incident. He is obviously distraught and among his tears states that:
“She tried to run across and the other guy swerved around her and I could not stop, I was already going …”
He can then be seen sobbing and hitting the pavement of the road.
