(CMR) A Clifton Hunter School bus was involved in an afternoon accident shortly after 3:30 pm according to CMR eyewitnesses.
Exclusive CMR sources indicate the bus was traveling along High Rock Road in East End by the New Testament Church of God; when it was rear-ended by a teal Chevy Equinox SUV. The children on the bus informed their parents that they saw the elderly driver throw alcohol out of his vehicle after the collision. The police were also notified and are investigating that line of inquiry.
No one has any life-threatening injuries but several children complained of whiplash, back pains and were shaken up about the incident. Three ambulances attended the scene. We understand that 13 children have been taken to the hospital emergency room and are being examined by medical personnel.
Police and paramedics attended the scene as some parents collected their children from the incident.
This is a developing story that will be updated once additional information is available.
McLean's children have posted on social media that he does not drink and the bus was partly to blame for the accidence since it pulled out in front of him in a 50 mile per hour zone and the roads were wet. They stated that if alcohol was in the vehicle it belonged to his son.
